What is T-Connect?

T-Connect for smartphones is an advanced telematics service by TOYOTA with a bilingual navigation system, an Operator Service (where T-Connect bilingual call center operators set your desired destination to your T-Connect Navigation) and other additional services to enhance your driving experience.

Who can use T-Connect?

  1. 1. Customer whom purchased a new TOYOTA vehicle can receive a License Code(or OR code) at the time of vehicle delivery. Please note that users should activate their ID within 1 year from the vehicle delivery day.

  2. 2. The families or friends of TOYOTA vehicle's owner can also create their own account to use T-Connect by using License Code(or QR code) from TOYOTA vehicle's owner.

  3. 3. Anyone can download (free trial* for 1 week only) and purchase the 1 year app from Google play and App store irrespective of whether you own a car or not.

What a is License Code?

A License Code(or QR code) is a 12-digit code which Dealers provide to customers at the point of delivering their new vehicles. The License Code(or QR code) can also be shared by a T-Connect user who owns it.
Users can add multiple License Codes to one account and manage it via the "License information" section on the T-Connect App. The "License information" section can be accessed from the "Account" icon allocated at the top-right corner on the main menu.

Is T-Connect available in my country?

Customers whom purchased a new TOYOTA vehicle in Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar and UAE are eligible to use T-Connect. Additionally, the application can be used when you travel to Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE.

What is Inbox?

Inbox will allow you to receive messages from dealer regarding promotions and service disruption notifications.

Do I need GPS to use T-Connect?

The main Navigation and Off-road Mode functions require GPS to track your location. Also, Operator Service requires GPS for operators to know your location to be able to serve you better.
To enable GPS for iPhone : Settings> Privacy> Location Services (turn it on)
To enable GPS for Android : Settings> Personal/ Other Settings> Location services/ access (turn GPS on)

After 7 days free trial, can I still use T-Connect services?

Unfortunately it is not be possible to use T-Connect services after the 7 days free trial. User must enter a valid License code or subscribe to the "Add-On" Services.

What is the User ID?

An ID is required to use the T-Connect service. The new ID management system of "User ID" system has been introduced to replace old "T-Connect ID" system from October of 2018. Users who have a "T-Connect ID" should create a new "User ID" to enjoy new features of T-Connect.

How to activate T-Connect and create a User ID on my smartphone?

Activate T-Connect

  1. Customers who have a "License Code" :
  2. 1. Download app from Google Play/App Store.
  3. 2. Open T-Connect appon your phone or tablet.
  4. 3. Click on "Sign up".
  5. 4. Scan the QR code or input the License Code provided by the Dealer.
  6. 5. Input login information (a valid Email is required) and personal informaiton.
  7. 6. Agree to the Usage Rule and tap "Next".
  8. 7. Enter the authentication code received via Email which inputed in step 5 above to finish the verification.
  9. 8. Tap "Next" to start using T-Connect App

  1. Customers who wish to purchase the application:
  2. 1. Download app from Google Play/App Store.
  3. 2. Open T-Connect appon your phone or tablet.
  4. 3. Click on "7 Days Free Trial".
  5. 4. Input login information (a valid Email is required) and personal informaiton.
  6. 5. Agree to the Usage Rule and tap "Next".
  7. 6. Enter the authentication code received via E-mail which inputed in step 4 above to finish the verification.
  8. 7. Click on "Account" iconat top-right.
  9. 8. Click on "Subscription".
  10. 9.Select T-Connect subscription option and click on "OK" if pop-up message shown.
  11. 10. Read the description of the paid service and tap "Purchase".
  12. 11. Click on "Buy".
  13. 12. Click on "OK" when purchase complete message shown.
  14. 13. Tap "Next"to start using T-Connect App.
  15. * You need to login to Apple Store or Google Play in order to complete in-app purchase.

What is difference between "T-Connect ID" and "User ID"?

・The Old ID System used the"T-Connect ID" which could only link 1 ID with 1 vehicle.
・The ID System was upgraded to version 5.7 to introduce the new "User ID", which includes below new functions:
- New user interface.
- 1 ID can be linked with multiple vehicles by License Code.
- User can manage information of each vehicle seperately.
- Both TOYOTA vehicle and LEXUS vehicle can be managed in 1ID(one account).
- Multiple vehicles of different countries can be managed in 1ID(one account).

Can I still use my existing T-Connect ID/Password to Login?

Yes, however users will be prompted to create a new User ID when trying to login with their existing T-Connect ID. Once a new User ID has been created, users will have to login with that User ID.

What if I have multiple T-Connect ID?

Users can combine their current T/L-Connect IDs and convert it to one new User ID account by following below steps:

1. Login with current your current T/L-Connect ID
2. A new screen will appear. Please complete the registration process and create a new “User ID”
3. After completing the registration process, click on the “Account” icon (top-right corner) and then “Logout”
4. Login again with the T/L-Connect ID you wish to add
5. A new screen will appear. Please login with the new “User ID” created in step 2
6. The additional T/L-Connect ID will be added to your new “User ID” account
** To add more T/L-Connect IDs to your “User ID” account, repeat steps 3 - 6

How can I add a new License Code?

Users can add multiple License Codes by following the steps below:

1. Tap on the "Account" icon at the top-right corner on the main screen, then click on "License Information".
2. Click on "Add New License".
3. Enter License Code or scan QR Code.
4. Click "Next".
5. Click "OK" on the popup screen to confirm.

What happens if I add a new License Code?

The new License will be shown under the "License information" section and the expiration dates of all current services'(Navigation, OPS etc.) will be linked to the new License expiration date.

How many License Codes can be added to the User ID?

There are no limitations to the number of License Codes that can be added.

How many vehicles can be linked with a License code?

Only 1 vehicle can be linked to a License Code. However, multiple vehicles can be added under one "User ID" via multiple License Codes.

What's the meaning of 1/5 of "Number of Users" in "License information" screen?

One License Code can be only shared among 5 different users. This indicates the number of users who are currently sharing a License Code. For example," 3/5" means that out of a maximum of 5 users, 3 users are currently sharing the License Code.

What is the difference between "Customer Information" and "License Information" in the "Account" menu?

"Customer Information" relates to personal information such as Country, Name, Gender, Birthday and etc., whilst "License Information" relates to the License Code information such as Vehicle Information, Expiration Date, Number of Users and Dealers.

How can I change my vehicle name shown on the main page?

Users can change the vehicle name by the following the steps below:

1. Tap on the top-right icon, then click on "License Information".
2. Click on the car license you wish to change
3. Click on the "PEN" icon to change your car name.
4. Click smartphone enter/done key to confirm.

Can I add or change photo of each License from my smartphone gallery?

Users can add a photo during the registration process or change it at a later stage by following the steps below:

Steps during registration:
1. Complete the Authentication process by entering the Authentication Code sent via e-mail. The License Information screen will appear.
2. Click on the "camera" icon to choose the selected photo from your smartphone gallery.
3. Select the photo. Your new photo will be shown on the main screen.

Steps after registration:
4. Tap on the top-right icon, then click "License Information.
5. Click top-right arrow near your car name.
6. Click on the "camera" icon to choose your car photo from your smartphone gallery.
7. Select the photo. Your new photo will be shown on main screen.

What happens when click "Delete License"?

This button is only available for licenses shared between users. If a user clicks "Delete License", that License information will be deleted and will not be shown in license list. Subsequently, the expiration dates of all current services (Navigation, OPS, etc.) may be shortened, if the License with the longest expiration date was deleted.

What happens when I click on "Remove Vehicle"?

This button is used when a user has sold or discarded his/her vehicle. If the user clicks on "Remove Vehicle", the vehicle information will be deleted in his/her account. However, the user can still see the License information in the license list.

Can I share/add License Code Between Toyota and Lexus?

Yes, users can share/add both TOYOTA and LEXUS License Codes under 1 User ID.

Can I use my User ID on more than one device?

Yes, you can use the same ID and password on multiple devices, but the navigation service can only be used on one device during the same period.

How can I change my User ID/Password or Personal Information?

Edit User ID, Password and Personal information:

1. Open T-Connect appon your phone or tablet
2. Tap "Account" iconat top-right.
3. Click on "Customer Information".
4. Click on "PEN" icon at top-right.
5. Input your password and tap "NEXT".
6. Edit the information and tap "NEXT" to complete edition.

How to check my T-Connect validity/expiry?

View expiration dates of paid services:

1. Open T-Connect appon your phone or tablet
2. Tap "Account" iconat top-right.
3. Click on "Subscription".
4. Expiration date is displayed under "Expiry" for each paid service in the order of month, day, year.

How to renew paid services if it has expired or is nearing expiry?

Renew paid service:

1. Open T-Connect appon your phone or tablet.
2. Tap "Account" iconat top-right.
3. Click on "Subscription".
4. Click on either of paid services you want to renew.
5. Click on either of license you want to renew
6. Read the description of the paid service and tap "Purchase".
7. Click on "Buy".
8. Click on "OK" when pruchase complete message shown.

* You need to login to Apple Store or Google Play in order to complete in-app purchase.

What is Operator Service?

Operator Service is a unique T-Connect service where the customer can talk to bilingual call center operators to set the desired destination. The operator will help trace the best path customised to the customer's preference with desired stops enroute to the final destination and send it to the customer's smartphone with destination information.

Note: Operator Service is available in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and UAE. Toll-free call for the Operator Service is available only in Bahrain, Qatar and UAE.

What are the working hours for Operator Service?

Operator Service is available 24/7 for 365 days a year i.e. all day, every day, all year round.

Is Operator Service toll-free?

Operator Service is a toll-free call service for users who purchase the eligible TOYOTA vehicle or application in Bahrain, Qatar, and UAE, but not a toll-free call service for users in Kuwait.

Operator Service is not available for users who purchase the eligible TOYOTA vehicle/application in Jordan, Lebanon, and Oman.
When a user travels out of the country of purchase to a country where T-Connect is available."Operator Service" will be an international call.

Can I ask for separate locations from the operator service?

Yes, you may ask for separate POI's (a maximum of 5 different destination setting requests) in a single call to the operators.

Can "Received List" save my locations?

"Received List" temporarily stores up to 10 POI location requests sent from the operator service . To save more locations you can use "Favorites".

How many locations can be stored within T-Connect?

"Received List" (under Operator Service) can temporarily store upto 10 POI location requests, while "Favorites" can save upto 100 locations each.

Which vehicles are compatible with display audio?

I want to use Off-road map.

Off-road map is integrated to Navigation feature from March 2017.
You are able to set destination from/to the desert where there's no road exist by enabling Off-road mode in Navigation.

The navigation shows my current location in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia has been set to be the default location thus please make sure that the GPS is turned on for T-Connect to find your current location.
To enable GPS for iPhone : Settings> Privacy> Location Services (turn it on)
To enable GPS for Android : Settings> Personal/ Other Settings> Location services/ access (turn GPS on)

My map is not moving.

Please make sure that the GPS has been turned on in order to track your current location.
